Following the 9.11 attacks on the World Trade Center, Wendeen H. Eolis mobilized and led small corps of volunteers to assist lawyers and small businesses dislocated by the events at the the Twin Towers, arranging for pro bono personal and career counseling services.

After a few months of experience assisting companies affected by the terrorist attacks in New York, Ms. Eolis traveled throughout the Middle East, meeting with government agency representatives, military personnel, and social services professionals on behalf of American interests.
In the fall of 2002, Ms. Eolis became Commander of HOPE's Champion Task Force, a program that was created to work on the development of personnel initiatives for emergency preparedness planning and disaster recovery operations. Since then, under Ms. Eolis' command, HOPE's Champion Task Force has responded to calls for help worldwide, from businesses, civic leaders, and government representatives.
In the wake of Katrina HCTF worked with village leaders in small towns at the edge of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and tribal chiefs in South Asia after the tsunami.
HOPE's Champion Task Force works through the the devastating chaos that is invariably associated with hostile incidents be they the deeds of a madmen or madwomen of the world or eruptions of nature.
HCTF works quietly and prodigiously in the background, treating each assignment as if it were a business project for a valued client---with just $1 dollar of pay to the woman who seized the opportunity and the role as its commander.
HOPE's Champion brings to the table every time a broad cultural awareness as well as an imposing network of contacts for this global program. We are never shy about calling on our extraordinary array of relationships among domestic and foreign leaders, as our teams strive to elevate the quality of life for those who have been shaken by the threats and the realities of tragedy.
Since the events of 9.11, EOLIS consultants have participated in scores of humanitarian projects under the banner of Hope's Champion Task Force.
